PLANET ROCK APPLICATIONS
INSTRUCTORS
CLIMBING INSTRUCTORS
As the first point of contact for customers, Climbing Instructors are expected to support every member of our community – from beginning to experienced climbers. Our ideal candidate is kind, respectful, energetic and interested in supporting the positive Planet Rock culture we climb in daily. Our goal is to help climbers feel respected, valued and excited to be a part of our community, no matter their ability level or prior climbing experience.
YOUTH COACHES
YOUTH COACHES
Planet Rock’s youth programming includes Recreational Youth Classes and our Competitive Climbing Team.
Planet Rock Youth Coaches play a crucial role in fostering a positive and structured training environment for youth climbers. Ideal candidates are kind, respectful, energetic and interested in supporting the positive Planet Rock culture we climb in daily. Previous coaching experience with groups of children aged 4-15 is desired, but not required for this position.
MANAGEMENT
MANAGER ON DUTY
The Manager on Duty is expected to support, educate and provide leadership to every member of the Planet Rock community – Planet Rock’s Instructors, membership and new customers alike. Our ideal candidate is kind, respectful, energetic, and interested in supporting the positive Planet Rock culture we climb in daily. Our goal is to help climbers feel respected, valued and excited to be a part of our community, no matter their ability level or prior climbing experience.
ROUTESETTERS
ROUTESETTERS
Planet Rock Routesetters design, install, and maintain climbing routes and boulders, to ensure a dynamic and engaging experience for climbers. Responsibilities include weekly route setting, hold stripping, washing, and organizing hardware such as bolts and screws. The ideal candidate is committed to refining their route-setting skills, mentoring apprentices, and fostering a safe and enjoyable climbing environment for all guests.
