What is single-pitch sport climbing?
Single-pitch sport climbing routes are no more than a half rope in length (typically 50-100 ft) and have bolt hangers drilled into the rock for protection along the route. Climbers clip their own quickdraws (and then the rope) into bolt hangers along the way and finish at a pre-bolted anchor, before getting lowered to the ground by a belayer.
