RECREATIONAL YOUTH PROGRAMS
Learn what climbing is all about!
Our recreational youth programs support the development of a lifelong enjoyment of climbing both as a sport and as part of our community. We encourage young climbers to progress as individuals both on and off the wall – challenging themselves to push beyond boundaries and experience something new. Confidence and self-esteem grow along with problem-solving skills, focus and spatial awareness.
Planet Rock’s Recreational Youth Programs run for 10 weeks each semester (fall, winter, spring, summer). Students will attend the same class time and day each week during the 10-week program. Enrollment in Planet Rock’s Youth Program includes: one class per week with experienced climbing coaches, a 10-week membership to the gym + free rentals each visit, a free belay class for parents or guardians of actively-enrolled students.
Public enrollment for these programs is now a lottery-based system. When the lottery window opens each semester, parents or guardians will be given one week to enter into the lottery. The day after registration closes, our algorithm will randomly assign the results.
