Send Sisters
Send Sisters is our community for women, woman-identifying and non-binary rock climbers. We host one private after hours event per month for female and non-binary climbers to connect and climb together. These events rotate between our two gym locations every other month.
Things to Know:
- Event Cost: $5 for members | $10 for non-members
- Event Capacity: 60 participants
- Advanced registration required for all participants
- Prerequisite(s): Planet Rock will require at least one prior visit with proof of orientation or lesson for all attendees. No new customers the night of Send Sisters. Walk-in lessons and orientations will not be available. All persons who attend must have a valid waiver on file and at least one of the following on their account:
- Belay check or Starter Package passed
- Lead check passed
- Bouldering Orientation passed
- Auto-Belay Orientation passed

Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive and empowering space for all women, woman-identifying and non-binary climbers to connect and climb together.
Our Goal
Our goal is to inspire and motivate women, woman-identifying and non-binary climbers to:
- reach their personal climbing goals, regardless of experience + strength
- increase their self-confidence, on and off the climbing wall
- educate and empower other climbers, inside and outside of our community

S: Supportive + Accessible: We acknowledge that fear and financial limitations can be barriers to entry for the sport of rock climbing. We make climbing accessible by reducing the cost of entry and creating a supportive, safe and private space for women, woman-identifying and non-binary climbers.
E: Ethical Leadership: We value authenticity and act with integrity. We believe in leading by example — both by acting ethically and setting the standard in which we wish others to follow. Honesty, trust, respect, integrity and authenticity are the pillars of our community. “Be the change” is our motto.
N: Nurture + Educate: We strive to create a nurturing environment where all participants feel important and heard. Our goal is to grow and empower our community of climbers by giving them access to the tools, education and mentorship required to be confident and self-sufficient rock climbers.
D: Diversity + Inclusion: We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive community for all climbers — regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability or socioeconomic status. We have a zero tolerance policy on discrimination and hate speech.
Upcoming Events
All Send Sisters events occur on Saturday evenings from 6pm-9pm. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. This fee includes rental gear.

- September 7th – Madison Heights

Starting in March of 2024, Planet Rock changed its requirements for Send Sisters. Please read out requirements prior to showing up at these events.
